Zotac Nitro: the first hardware “acceleration” for the GeForce

Zotac has released the world's first serial device specifically designed for overclocking video cards (works only with Zotac GeForce cards under Win XP / Vista). A small device connects to a computer via USB and gets direct access to the GPU core, shader units and memory frequency settings. There are only three buttons on it, with which the overclocker can increase and decrease the frequency in 5 MHz steps and control the fan speed. The integrated display shows the temperature of the graphics processor.



This is probably an overclocker dream. Never before has overclocking been so convenient. Is it possible to burn someone else's video card using a USB device and how quickly it can be done - not reported in the press release .
