Analytical agency AdMob has published the results of the research of the market of mobile browsers used in mobile phones around the world. It turned out that the top five looks like this:
1. Nokia (original browser from the manufacturer) - 34%
2. Openwave (used in Motorola tubes) - 29%
3. Access Netfront (used by Sony Ericsson) - 12%
4. Opera Mini (used on different handsets) - 7%
5. Teleca-Obigo (different handsets) and Microsoft Mobile Explorer - 4% each
From these figures we can draw two positive conclusions.
1. Opera Mini is the most popular mobile browser in the world, which in most cases is installed independently by users, rather than pre-installed on handsets.
2. By itself, a figure of 7% of the world market is a huge (and, of course, not yet final) success for the Norwegian browser, considering that its desktop progenitor in the world market of desktop browsers cannot yet overcome the 1% mark.
