42% of users climb into other accounts

Curiosity is a natural trait of human character. Each of us probably caught himself wanting to see what messages his wife received on the Odnoklassniki page, what letters the ex-girlfriend receives in her inbox, who is listed as a friend of her beloved child. Of course, most people successfully suppress in themselves these obscene urges. But it turns out that very many are not able to cope with themselves.

A survey on the Internet Evolution website showed that as many as 42% of users have logged in to someone else’s email account or to a page on a social network without the knowledge of the owner of this account ...

42% is really a lot. It turns out that if your password is known by at least three relatives or colleagues, then according to statistics, one of them should definitely log into your personal account.

Of course, the survey does not claim to be a sociological title. There is a sample of only 300 people, and the audience of this site, which was surveyed, is clearly different from the usual audience (this is a technical site, and it’s not difficult for a geek to find someone else's password). One way or another, this fact once again confirms that the greatest threat to computer security is not at all external threats, hackers or software holes, but the closest people and fellow workers.
