Actors create fake queues for iPhones

If in America the start of selling the iPhone 3G was truly enchanting, with massive promotions and long lines of fans near At & T offices, then in Europe the situation is somewhat different. For example, in Poland, the start of iPhone sales last Friday did not cause any stir. However, the operator Orange did not accept this and decided ... to create an artificial stir.

As it became known to Reuters journalists, Orange marketing specialists hired actors who created the appearance of queues in 20 Orange stores. The company honestly admitted that the fact of a false rush really had to be. Thus, they tried to stir up interest in the new product. The company did not give out details: how many actors were involved in the action, how long they stood in lines and how much money they received. One can only hope that at least the iPhones were given to them for free.

Generally speaking, rumors of fake lines appeared even during the launch of the iPhone 3G in the United States. But these rumors were refuted in the most natural way when the shortage of iPhones soon began and it became clear that the demand for them was indeed high.
