Red Hat Enterprise Linux at Risk

I don’t know if this information will be interesting to many, but ... it’s better to be outrun than to be short.

Several RedHat servers were hacked last week . In particular, the server on which the packages were signed was hacked. RedHat immediately turned off all updates and, as far as known, “through official channels” no infection was ever transmitted. And there is no danger for Fedora users - you just need to upgrade the system and that's it (the old keys are “just in case” revoked, new ones are released). But users of Red
Hat Enterprise Linux is less fortunate. Those who use it are legally in the same position as Fedora users. But those who download packages from various strange sites can get a Trojan (updates for Red Hat Enterprise Linux are sent only by subscription, so if someone puts himself a pirated copy of Red Hat Enterprise Linux, then updates have to be obtained in some roundabout ways ).

Who and why uses unlicensed Red Hat Enterprise Linux with CentOS is a mystery to me, but if there are such people, check it ( as RedHat recommends ).
