But what if smart watches are on the shelf at home, and now you don’t have to wear them, but do you need to receive notifications? Then Nicholas Noth comes to the rescue with his project Smart Mirror . His mirror shows all notifications with Android Wear.
The mirror itself is a one-way mirror glass on the monitor, which is connected by an HDMI cable to a smartphone, although, according to Nicholas, the Raspberry Pi mini PC can also be used. His initial goal was to create a system that would display a notification about the end of charging watches on Android Wear. It is clear that this is, for the most part, the project just for fun, but the idea is really interesting. And at the very beginning, all that skillfully mirrors is to show a message about the finishing charge of a smart watch. ')
Now the possibilities of Smart Mirror are greatly expanded, and the device can output other information, for example, from a smartphone. The plans include adding the ability to show incoming text messages or other types of notifications, check weather, match information and other functions.
