In Russia, a 2-ton multipurpose drone may appear

Now the Russian Federation is actively working on a new type of unmanned vehicle equipped with an airbag. According to the plan, such a device can be used both in unmanned and manned modes. In addition, the unit can perform transportation, reconnaissance and combat missions, depending on what is currently required.

Experts are going to demonstrate a prototype of such a device , a reduced copy weighing 750 kg. The prototype was named "Teal", and will be shown at the MAKS air show. The development is conducted by the United Instrument-Making Corporation (DIC). It is worth noting that the engines in the "Teal" - foreign production, in the future they can be replaced by domestic engines.

The developers claim that the device can rise into the air from any surface, including sand, soil, loose snow. It does not require a runway for landing. "Teal" can rise to an altitude of up to 6000 meters, with a maximum range of 2500 km.

If necessary, the military will be able to place guided and unguided bombs and missiles in the apparatus. In the civilian sphere, the device is planned to be used to transport both passengers and goods in regions with difficult conditions.



Note that the prototype is made in 1: 5 scale relative to the real size of the drone.
