The Street View service over the past few years has added many unique regions that are in no way related to localities. These are the Amazon rain forests, the Grand Canyon, and now
some parts of Everest . Naturally, hardly anyone can get around the whole mountain with the panoramic camera module from Google, but it is possible to remove relatively accessible places.
This was done with the help of a new employee of Google,
Apa Sherpa . This man holds the record for the maximum number of ascents on Everest (Sherpa climbed the mountain 21 times). The work was done by the Apa Sherpa Foundation together with the Story Cycle Nepalese NGO. Expedition took 10 days.
On Google Maps, besides Everest, you can make a virtual journey on
Gorak Shep ; besides, you can also see “home” photos from
Everest Summiteer Lodge , built by Apa Sherpa in 1996.

In addition to nature, you can see monasteries, schools, as well as yaks in the pictures, which are used by locals as pets (forcible power, meat and related products).
