Google didn’t want to chase down the thickness of the laptop, as in the Macbook presented a couple of days ago, but in an aluminum case there are as many as two Type USB-C ports on both sides. The processor of the novelty is Intel Core i5, RAM - 8 GB, storage - 32 GB SSD. In the LS version - 16 GB of RAM, Intel Core i7 and 64 GB SSD. In both versions, there are 2 USB 3.0 ports and a card reader.
As in previous versions, the onboard high-resolution touch screen, glass trackpad and wide-angle webcam. In Google they say that on a single battery charge the laptop works up to 12 hours. The battery has an interesting feature - in 15 minutes it charges for two hours of full work.
It is worth recalling that the version of the Pixel chromabooks is positioned by Google as a full-fledged laptop for work, with serious hardware stuffing, high-quality screen and long battery life. Conventional Chromebooks, which are manufactured by Acer, Toshiba and Samsung, on the other hand, are cheap computers, available to most at around $ 500. Google says that in 2013, about 2 million chromed books were sold.
