Bragi Dash: Smart Wireless Headphones Conquer the Market

Wireless headphones of various formats have long been on the market. There are good models, there is so-so, there is altogether horror. Nevertheless, the market of wireless headphones is developing more or less evenly and smoothly. But all this may soon change: in May, Bragi Dash wireless smart-headphones are on sale, the developers of which changed the approach to the very concept of headphones.

About what exactly these headphones differ from the rest - will be discussed below. In the meantime, it is worth mentioning that at Kickstarter, in March last year, the headphones scored 3.39 million US dollars instead of 260 thousand. It says something, right? In addition, these same headphones received an award for innovation, among a couple dozen other projects at CES 2015.

What is this Bragi Dash?

These are headphones that the developers themselves are positioning as “the first truly wireless headphones. This is because here the data exchange “over the air” goes not only with the sound source, the headphones and each other communicate wirelessly. Headphones can be used for its intended purpose, to listen to music, work with them as a stereo headset, fitness tracker. These are the basic techniques for using Bragi Dash, but there are additional ones (no-no, getting tips on exam tickets for sessions is not our method).

What else can Brag Dash boast:

It is worth noting that the headphones do not fall out even with the most active running or jumping. In addition, the sound does not change if you take the phone out of your pocket and put it, for example, in a bag (many headsets are not perfect in this regard, the sound starts to be interrupted).

The creators of the headphones released API for third-party developers - now you can create applications that can interact with headphones. It can be a fitness app, a player, in principle, anything.

To work with headphones as a fitness tracker, you need to install the corresponding application on the paired device, and then you can do without a bracelet on your hand - Bragi Dash can replace most models of such devices.

Who are the developers?

The fact that the headphones turned out to be so versatile is not surprising. After all, they developed their team under the leadership of ex-head of the design department of Harman Kardon and ex-vice-president of Jabra.

The head of the company is Nikolaj Hviid. At CES 2015, he said that many of his friends and colleagues, to whom he spoke about the idea of creating universal headphones, believed that this was simply impossible. But they seem to be wrong.

At the same CES 2015, these headphones were shown live for the first time, and the people who tried them out were surprised at how such small headphones can be so functional. The result is an innovation award that Bragi Dash received along with 24 other projects.
