Pebble has updated its Kickstarter campaign with Pebble Time, adding a metal version with an increased battery capacity.
Pebble Time Steel will appear in three colors: steel, black and gold. Included the buyer will find 2 straps: leather and metal.

Because of the steel case, the watch will become slightly heavier and 1 mm thicker than its plastic version. But the color e-paper display is now immediately behind the protective glass.
Pebble Time Steel differ not only in appearance: the company managed to double the volume of the battery. According to official information, this will allow the clock to stay up to 10 days on one charge.
The metal version of Time is available on Kickstarter for $ 250. On sale, the device will appear with price tags of $ 299, which is one and a half times the standard model.
Also talked about the capabilities of its new connector for charging and transferring information. A few months after the release, the first plug-in “smart” straps with additional modules, like GPS, heart rate monitor or battery, will appear. It is noteworthy that only third-party manufacturers will be engaged in the production of straps. The company does not hurry: API for developers will be available around the summer.
