$ 300 million for startups: MediaTek Ventures investment fund opened

Hi, Geektimes! At the MWC 2015 exhibition, along with announcements of new chipsets, MediaTek announced the launch of its own venture capital fund MediaTek Ventures . Its capital is 300 million dollars, the money will be allocated to finance start-ups in mainland China, Europe, Japan and North America. The central office of the investment unit is located in Taiwan, in the city of Hsinchu. The priority investment areas of MediaTek Ventures are network infrastructure and services, semiconductor technologies and the Internet of Things.
