Pebble Time beat all records on Kickstarter

The Pebble Time smartwatch now beats all records in speed and volume of fundraising on Kickstarter. The first version of Pebble also collected funds very quickly, and then more than 10 million US dollars were raised instead of 500 thousand requested.

But Pebble Time, it seems, is going to break all records of speed and volume of funds collected at crowdfunding sites. 33 minutes after launch, the campaign has already collected 500 thousand US dollars. Now, just a couple of days later, more than 11 million US dollars have been raised . In this case, 8 million were collected in just one day.

Pebble Time has every chance to set a new record for the volume of funds raised. At present, the palm belongs to COOLEST COOLER with 13285226 US dollars (and only 50 thousand were requested). But the watch has already collected 11 million, and by the end of the campaign - another 28 days.

Such a rush of users caused by a large number of changes made by developers. So, at Pebble Time the color display (e-paper) consuming a minimum of energy. True, the update rate of the image still loses the LED screens, but still the color display is better than the monochrome (in many cases).
