The journey of the Dawn probe to Ceres is closely monitored by the entire scientific (and not only) world. Previously, the zones were not sent by the best-quality images of a planetoid, on which bright spots were clearly visible. At the same time, astronomers made the assumption that this is the output of ice or just light rocks - perhaps a manifestation of volcanic activity.

Most likely, this is the case; it is unlikely that the palace of the emperor of the Milky Way is located on Ceres . The latest photos of this dwarf planet also testify to this. By the way, the photos are much better, because every day the device is getting closer to Ceres.

Now the distance is only 46 thousand kilometers, and the photo itself was taken on February 19 . As you can see, the light points are already clearly visible, and it can be assumed that this is the exit to the surface of either ice or very light rocks. Cebed's albedo surface is only 9%, so any lighter material will look very bright against this background.

According to experts, the higher-quality images will be sent by the probe, the more information scientists can get about Ceres. The team of specialists studying this celestial body is looking forward to March 6, when the probe will go into the planetoid orbit. Nevertheless, scientists expect to receive some answers to questions arising in the course of rapprochement with Ceres even before this deadline.
