Microsoft continues the "attraction of unprecedented generosity", distributing free disk space on OneDrive. Last week, 100 GB
each was given to anyone who joined the
Bing Rewards program. And now a new offer: a 100 GB bonus (for 1 year) is
offered to Dropbox users .
Unlike the previous deal, the new offer applies not only to US residents, but to all users, regardless of the country.
Microsoft ad: “Drop the box - transfer photos, music and documents to OneDrive”')
For this, you can and create an account Dropbox, who do not have it.
There are several additional conditions. Firstly, only the first 10 million people who have applied for a bonus offer can apply.
Secondly, the bonus is not valid for customers of the OneDrive for Business tariff plan.
To get 100 GB you need to go to the
bonus page and log in with a Microsoft account.

After that, the OneDrive application will request standard permission to access personal information.

OneDrive will also verify that you do have a Dropbox account. To do this, log in there and upload the “Getting Started with OneDrive” PDF file to your Dropbox folder.

Once the PDF has been successfully downloaded, you will be redirected to the confirmation page with the message “Your bonus storage was successfully applied!”. The so-called “Enthusiast bonus” - 100 gigabytes of additional space - will be added to your account.
Now OneDrive offers 15 GB for free to all users, but the 100 GB bonus is definitely not superfluous, although it is given for only 1 year. After that, additional disk space will have to be paid at standard rates. Now 100 GB costs $ 1.99 per month.
Apparently, the current offer is part of a deal between Dropbox and Microsoft. They signed a cooperation agreement in December 2014. Perhaps, Dropbox even receives a certain reward for each “lost” user.
