The Lenovo laptop as part of the virtual reality glasses simulates flying in open space using the SAFER jetpack, Simplified Aid for EVA Rescue. The satchel is needed in order for the astronaut to reach the station in the event of an emergency situation. Such training is necessary due to the limited fuel for the device. SAFER used in more than a hundred spacewalks.
