The company Hevel, a joint venture between Renova and Rosnano , launched the first full-cycle plant for the production of solar modules in Russia. The company will be able to produce one million modules per year, which corresponds to 130 MW. Investment in production amounted to 20 billion rubles, according to Finam . Solar modules from Hevel generate electricity in cloudy weather, which is important for Russia. The company uses the technology of the Swiss company Oerlikon Solar : photo panels based on micromorphic silicon are applied on the panels. Sputtering nanolayer reduces the use of silicon. The plant is located in the town of Novocheboksarsk, Chuvash Republic.

Russia's largest solar power plant, Kosh-Agachskaya, is equipped with Hevel solar panels and is capable of providing electricity from 1,000 households. The specific power generation level of the station reaches 1400 kWh per square meter per year, the station's capacity is 5 MW - the entire Kosh-Agach area consumes up to 3.5 MW. The station is set on an area of 13 hectares.
