Japan is an amazing country where super-modern technologies are combined with ancient culture and traditions. The country of the rising sun in the 20th century evolved from a backward feudal state into a technological paradise. And now the Japanese are continuing to develop and introduce technological innovations.
In particular, the number of charging stations for cars in
Japan exceeded the number of gas stations . According to Nissan Motor Co., the number of charging stations is 40 thousand, and the number of gas stations is only 34 thousand.
As you can see, the infrastructure for electric vehicles is developing at a very fast pace - quite a bit of time has passed, and electric vehicles are no longer an amazing novelty, but an ordinary vehicle. Perhaps in the near future there will be more electric cars on the roads of different countries than cars with internal combustion engines.

Future plans
A dense network of charging stations for cars is a must, since not all electric cars can travel hundreds of kilometers on a single battery charge, like Tesla's. The same Nissan Leaf in autonomous mode can travel no more than 135 kilometers, and get stuck at such a distance from home or work without being able to recharge scares most of the motorists. And the more stations will appear, the faster electric cars will be sold.
A positive point is also the fact that many companies make their electric stations universal, electric cars of various manufacturers can be connected to some stations. Not long ago,
Bayerische Motoren Werke AG and Volkswagen AG announced their intention to build universal electroazs along the busiest routes in the United States.
Tesla Motors also joined forces with BMW to accomplish a similar task.
And the company Great Plains Energy Inc. from Kansas announced its intention to build a network of 1000 charging stations for electric vehicles by the middle of this year. And the charge will be free for all for 2 years.
It is possible that in other countries the number of charging stations will soon exceed the number of gas stations. But for now Japan is ahead of the rest.
