Roscosmos will consider the projects of super-heavy rocket

The Scientific and Technical Council (NTS) of Roscosmos will soon consider the projects of the domestic super-heavy-class launch vehicle. Several enterprises presented their projects, reports TASS.

RCC Progress submitted to the Federal Space Agency technical proposals for creating a carrier for liquefied natural gas. This is a joint project with the Khrunichev Center, responsible for the development of the upper stage for the new rocket. “Further actions will depend on the decisions made by Roskosmos,” the general director of the Samara enterprise added.

It is expected that the super-heavy rocket will be created within the framework of the Federal Space Program for 2016-2025. The former head of Roskosmos, Oleg Ostapenko, said that the rocket will be developed in two stages: first, a carrier with a load of 70-80 tons, and later - up to 190 tons. engines.
