Google adds 2 GB of disk to Google Drive for checking the user’s account security settings

In honor of the Safe Internet Day celebrated today, Google offers users to check the security settings of their account and get a gift for this in the form of an additional 2 GB in Google Drive on an ongoing basis.

The user is required to click on the Security Checkup link — the account security settings wizard opens, where you need to check the availability of a phone number and a backup email address, then the login log and a list of applications that have access to your Google account. After the user confirms his data, Google will thank and inform you that it will be possible to return to the configuration at any time again.

If you have time to do this before February 17, around the end of the month Google will automatically add 2 GB to the existing volume of Google Drive on an ongoing basis, which will notify the user in an email. Owners of Google Apps for Work and Google Apps for Education do not participate in the promotion.
