Tablet review on Windows 8.1 (Vido w11c)

Hello!
Due to some lull among tablet-phone browsers, I decided to review the tablet on Windows 8.1 from China. I write after a couple of months of active use.

For those who do not like long words and objectivity - the tablet is good, but not a clear leader, the weakest point of the tablet is the keyboard case. Much better than anything that was previously presented in the Chinese market, and the stuffing is quite good for performing any office tasks and non-heavy games, but it does not reach the convenience of the laptop. However, under the cut I will tell everything in as much detail as possible.

So, the characteristics:

Processor: Intel Atom Z3735D Quad Core 1.3GHz up to 1.8GHz
Internal memory: SSD 64 GB
RAM: 2 GB
')
Display: 1920x1200 10.1 "
Weight: 580g
Dimensions: 257 * 171 * 10.5mm

Built-in 3G , Bluetooth, Wi-Fi 802.11n.
Expansion ports: Headphone jack, HDMI, Mini-USB with OTG (no full-size USB), TF card.
Two cameras, and back and front for 2mp.

Features: GPS navigation.

Battery: 8400mAh Li-Polymer

Quite a good performance. Now in order.

Equipment

Included were two OTG microUSB-USB cables, the seller carefully wrote that he put the second one just in case. He was a little crooked, which, however, does not interfere with work.

Charging. Charges 9 volts, 2 amps, and only from the outlet, there is no USB adapter.

Case It was ordered separately and cost an extra $ 30. The cover is very soiled, it collects everything on itself.

Keyboard cover. There is no Cyrillic alphabet, which is a good reason to learn a blind set. For whom this is a significant disadvantage - there are stickers with Russian letters. F1-F12 keys are available when you press the Fn button, that is, as on the Eee PC: the function buttons and the Home / End / PgUp / PgDown buttons are placed on the top row. So, of course it is more convenient than if it were the other way around, but compiling is inconvenient:

Fn in place of Ctrl. Alas.

Magnetic stripe for connecting the keyboard:

The weakest point of the device, with an uncomfortable location of the tablet on an uneven surface, moves away at times.

It looks like the tablet in the assembled state:

And so exploded:

The tablet itself.

Glossy to pop. Above you can see a two-megapixel camera, its operation indicator and light sensor.

Other, no less glossy photos from the same angle

And no less dirty than a tablet:

Bottom connector for connecting to the keyboard. The paint is gradually erased:

Also visible is the Windows touch key.

On the right there is nothing, on the left all possible exits:

They are completely standard. MiniJack, MiniHDMI, memory card slot, MiniUSB, charger connector. On the left you can see the microphone hole.

Above, the controls are also completely standard for tablets. Sleep key, volume rocker and charge indicator.

Behind the tablet as a woman red. (“I want reds!)

An amateur, but it looks pretty organic. There are options for yellow and blue coloring. The manufacturer guessed with a new fashion on bright devices.

On the side there is a cover with a 3G modem. Hard to open, eventually scratched this cover to hell.

Build quality

On high. Nothing backlash, no creaks, the buttons do not fall apart. The back cover is plastic.

OS

The only difference from the original Windows 8 is the button on the onscreen keyboard:

The keyboard itself is quite comfortable, and appears when the cover is turned off and the focus is at the input location or when the key from the image above is pressed:

Performance

Proprietary Windows Experience Index measured 3.9 points, giving:
Processor - 5.9
Graphics - 3.9 (smallest)
Chart for games - 4.1
Hard Drive - 6.95
Memory - 4.5

Predictably, on a discrete video card you cannot pull out a lot of parrots.

Video from YouTube 1080p slows down (However, it also slows down on the desktop), but movies with the same resolution are shown perfectly. 2-3 year old non-heavy toys work . Owners run versions of Stalker and MOBA games - no problem.

With regards to memory, here is the CrystalDiskMark label:

Battery

Chic. Enough for 7-8 hours of constant work without recharging, 8400mah is enough for such power for the eyes. Without fear, I take a tablet without a charger. Full time without charging may not be enough, but to work in places where there is no computer is always welcome.

Bonuses

GPS Works. I found out about it only at the time of writing this article, having run no problems, I did not find it.
3G modem. With the advent of free tariffs , this modem finally made sense. It works, it regularly receives the Internet, in the presence of free 15,000 rubles, you can buy a 4g modem and change it.
Cameras. Both are complete slag and exist only for Skype, they are not capable of anything more. What, however, was to be expected - to photograph on a tablet with Windows - moveton.

The bonus also included MS Office 360 for 1 year and two devices (mobile and desktop) and a licensed version of Windows . The version of “One Language” in which only one localization language is available and the original language was English, but changing it into Russian was not worth the trouble. There will be questions like - I will answer in a personal.

Minuses

Like the absolute majority of devices they are. But most of them are somehow connected with the case.

Spontaneous inclusion in a dream . Since there is no cover on the cover, as on laptops, the tablet cannot understand when it is necessary to turn off peripherals (touchpad and keyboard) and when the cover is closed, it can turn on spontaneously and discharge the battery. It is treated by a complete shutdown, hibernation, or a handwritten program that disables the periphery when it goes to sleep, and turns it on when it wakes up.

Inconvenient keyboard. Fn in place of Ctrl, F1-F12 only when you press Fn, and the lack of Cyrillic on the letter keys. From the recent moment on the market there are covers / keyboards with Russian layout
One position open tablet . It is impossible to fold the display to a specific angle in a laptop, this is a big minus of such covers.
Abrasion with time paint on the tablet in places of contact with the cover.
No full size USB .

pros

Great screen 1920x1200.
Full Windows 8.1 . Despite the complete discharge of Windows on desktop computers, the OS works perfectly on devices with a touch-screen OS. As if written for them =)
Convenience of working with a laptop and tablet , no difficulties with connecting / disconnecting. Tired of the cover, unhooked it and use it without it.
Compactness. It weighs less than a netbook and even less a laptop and takes up little space in the bag.
Sufficient tablet performance .
The installed OS takes up 3 gigabytes of space on the SSD. I do not know how they did it, but the available space is 61 gigabytes.

Alternatives

We chose based on the concept of “a tablet on which you can work like on a netbook,” that is, with a plug-in keyboard without hemorrhoids with BT devices. There were not so many of them:

There are no obvious leaders (only the new Teclast x10hd stands out a bit), even after a few months from the purchase, the tablet keeps up with dignity. The common disadvantage is the lack of tablets with more than two gigabytes of RAM, there are no tablets on the Chinese market, there are not so many on the global market, and if you take the top price barrier of 30000r, then only two .

If, however, analyzing the market without paying attention to China (the ruble exchange rate contributes to price comparison, yeah), then there are almost no devices with such characteristics as the hero's review.

PS

The post is not advertising, so I will not indicate where I bought the tablet. However, easy googling in Chinese stores will help you find the device. In the pre-crisis time it cost ~ 14 000 rubles, now the price in China is frozen at ~ 22 000 rub.
