Google returns tweets to search results

In the first half of this year, fresh entries from the social network Twitter will again be available in search results from Google. The two companies have signed a mutually beneficial cooperation agreement, which Twitter will send information to Google, without the need for a crawler to scan tapes via the web.

It is reported that this step is one of the attempts of the current CEO of Twitter Dick Costolo to spur the growth of the social network, which already has 284 million users. Recently, the growth of the network has slowed down, and tweets appearing in search results will surely help attract new users.

From 2009 to 2011, this service has already worked. However, Google refused it due to the launch of its social network Google+. She had to "kill" both Twitter and Facebook, which in fact did not happen. The previous head of Google+ left his post last April, and now the company is positioning the project not as a social network, but as a platform.
