Transmedia has released the network operating system Glide OS 2.0

Every day it becomes more and more clear that the web office packages of the new generation are pushing out the good old MS Office from the market. And now the American startup Transmedia has released the network operating system Glide OS 2.0, which can supplant all programs from our computers.

Currently, the Glide Digital project is in beta, but this should not be misleading. The service is quite functional, it has been developing for a very long time. Anyone who has a mobile phone can register and test the system (verification code comes via SMS). It seems that the service is designed primarily for mobile devices, although it works fine with a PC.

The Glide network operating system has everything a typical user needs from a personal computer: editing office documents (saving in RTF and PDF formats), music, photos (75 editing tools), video, diary, email, presentations, etc. . A set of programs appears on the virtual "desktop" immediately after logging on to the system.

In February 2007, Transmedia released the second version of Glide OS with enhanced functionality. Presented several tariff plans. The free rate provides 1 GB of disk space and a maximum of four users can connect to one desktop. As part of two individual tariff plans for $ 5 or $ 10 per month ($ 50 or $ 100 per year), 2 GB or 5 GB of space is provided with the possibility to purchase additional space.
