In Russia, create a manned ship to fly to the moon

Rocket and Space Corporation "Energy" named after S.P. Korolyov together with the enterprises of the rocket and space industry of Russia are creating a new manned spacecraft intended for expeditions to the Moon.

This was announced by Deputy General Designer RKK Nikolay Bryukhanov. According to him, “the main task of the new ship is to deliver the crew to high orbits up to the orbits around the moon and back. After separation of the compartments, the engine compartment provides an additional impetus and ensures its combustion over the Pacific Ocean. ” Bryukhanov stressed that during the development of the ship, the requirements of the UN on the non-pollution of outer space and the safety of ground infrastructure were met.

“The design and manufacture of the ship is in full swing at RSC Energia. We are the parent organization, and the cooperation in the development and manufacture of this ship is very large. ”

Earlier, Roskosmos made announcements about plans to build a lunar base , and that these plans are being postponed indefinitely.
