Prynt's new crowdfunding project offers users the ability to instantly print photos without leaving their smartphone. To do this, it is proposed to purchase a special "case". By inserting a smartphone into it and making a photo, you will immediately receive a paper copy of a 7.6 x 5 cm photo (resolution 1120 x 620 pixels). Thanks to the use of special photo paper Zero Ink, the device does not need ink.
The device is compatible with phones iPhone 5, iPhone 6, Galaxy S4 and Galaxy S5. This is possible thanks to the modular system. The phone is inserted into a small docking station, which then connects to the main device. In addition to photos, the project offers another entertainment feature. While taking pictures, the Prynt app actually captures a small video that is sent to the cloud storage. Then you can bring the finished photo to the camera of the smartphone, and the application, recognizing this photo, prompts you to play the previously recorded video. ')
For the first hour of work at Kickstarter, Prynt has collected the required amount of $ 50,000, and is currently approaching the $ 250,000 mark, given that there are still 34 days left before the end of the project. Apparently, he will be able to compete on fees with record projects of crowdfunding platform.
All inexpensive offers for backers have already run out (a copy of the device and 10 sheets of photographic paper for $ 50). Now this kit can be purchased for $ 99 - the cost that the creators plan to install after its official release in the fall of 2015. 50 sheets of paper can be purchased for $ 25.
Apparently, in our digital age, people missed the physical things that can be held in their hands. In September, Polaroid announced their return with the original camera , which also allows printing photos (the device’s output is scheduled for early 2015).
