The “smart” Wishbone thermometer connects to the smartphone via the headphone jack and measures the temperature of the body, air, drink or other object using an infrared sensor for two seconds. The device works with smartphones on Android and iOS. A fundraising campaign for the project was
launched on Kickstarter, the manufacturer plans to start shipping the device in April.

Joywing Tech launched a Kickstarter fundraising campaign to launch sales of the Wishbone device, positioned as "the world's smallest and simplest smart thermometer." Wishbone is able to measure the temperature of a person in two seconds, in the development stage, the modes of measuring the temperature of objects and the environment. The measurement range is from 0 to 100 degrees Celsius in increments of 0.1 degrees. The accuracy of body temperature measurement is ± 0.2 °. Wishbone uses a passive infrared sensor and is completely silent. All data is stored in the application and available for viewing and analysis.
