Right now, all
Mac fans and ordinary
PCs should prepare their fists for a fierce fight - nothing fundamentally new will be said, but perhaps everyone will discover something new. Recently conducted in the USA (attention, where the prices for Apple products are noticeably lower than in Russia or Europe), research shows that, on average, a Windows-based computer costs
exactly half the same Mac stuff. The data collected by the
NPD analytical group unequivocally show the facts: a laptop with Windows on board is in the US, on average,
$ 700 ; while Apple's average laptop starts at
$ 1,400 . What is most amusing - while ordinary laptops are getting cheaper at the rate of falling meteorite, the
MacBook Pro, over the past two years, dropped only $ 59. And this is more candy compared to desktop computers.
Apple's average desktop computer costs almost
$ 1,000 more than a similar solution from, say, a noname Windows-based manufacturer who is willing to sell his product for
$ 550 . “Hey!” All Apple fans will exclaim: “all because people interested in high-end solutions buy Macs, while poor idiots take regular PCs.” In fact this is not true.
Farther
“The internal filling usually has enough differences in the two systems. Apple focuses on more powerful processors than most notebook manufacturers, but all this is done at the cost of RAM and hard disk. Apple continues to aggressively put mobile processors into almost all of its systems (including iMacs), and also designs the design of desktop systems itself, which further raises product prices. But, for example, the Dell Inspiron 518 tower, whose price is nearing $ 700 (in the US, do not forget) has twice as many processor cores, three times more RAM and twice more hard disk space than the iMac priced at $ 1119 with comparable screen diagonals.
It is also a matter of Apple’s particular policy: until the next, more powerful and advanced solution in terms of hardware appears, prices never go down. For this reason, the price difference between PCs and Macs only increases over time, and not vice versa. ”
And despite the huge increase in sales of Apple computers in the past two years (due to the failure of Windows Vista), analysts predict that such growth will not last long. Windows never gave up its market share without a fight, and such a good position in which Apple as a whole and Mac'i in particular cannot last for long. At some certain point, all the people who prefer Macs for certain working moments (mostly working with video, audio and graphics, which, traditionally, are implemented on Apple products faster and more conveniently) will soon have to reckon with “ poor idiots' on pc.
