USB PaperLike e-ink monitor

One of the interesting gadgets overlooked in the reviews of CES 2015 is a 13.3-inch monitor on PaperLike electronic ink produced by the Chinese company Dasung Tech .

PaperLike with a resolution of 1600x1200 (150 ppi) is connected to the computer via USB and works as a second display. It is made on the basis of the screen E Ink Fina with a glass coating.

PaperLike consumes so little power that USB connections are enough. The refresh rate of the image is optimized so as not to annoy the “brakes” that are usual for electronic ink screens.

Cursor movement and software operation

The monitor has several modes of operation: the refresh rate is increased by reducing the detail.

Judging by the official site, the cost of the monitor ranges from 3,999 to 5,999 yuan, that is, from $ 645 to $ 970. Probably the first figure is the discounted price for first buyers (PaperLike sales in China have just started).
