A fan sequel of the
Star Trek iconic classic series
Star Trek Continues collects money in
a Kickstarter campaign . And the campaign has all the chances - in just three days more than 60% of the requested amount was collected. In November 2013, the same team has already successfully conducted one
crowdfunding campaign for, collecting $ 126 thousand instead of the $ 100 planned.

The original series was conceived as a story about the five-year mission of the crew of the Enterprise spacecraft, which explored the remote corners of the universe in (approximately) 2260 AD. However, after three years (and seasons), the management of the channel closed the series, motivating its decision with low ratings. This did not prevent the show from becoming a cult, and spawning a whole franchise, which included five series of sequels, 12 films and countless books and toys.

A group of fans dissatisfied with the fact that the original series was not finished decided to remove its ending on their own. An agreement was reached with CBS, which owns the rights to the series, that the shooting can be carried out if they are not aimed at making a profit. After the first episode was filmed, the team conducted a successful campaign on Kickstarter, and now it is raising money for two more episodes.

Fans of the franchise speak positively about the fan project -
in the episodes already filmed, the costumes, the scenery, the play of actors and the manner of narration are strictly maintained in the style of the original series.
