Case for iPhone with a second screen on e-ink

American startup popSLATE offers an iPhone case with an extra screen. The case is crammed with electronics (its processor and memory) and has its own screen on electronic ink. Since e-ink does not require energy to maintain the image on the screen, such a cover can be used to save the battery of a voracious smartphone - for example, display a map, QR-code with ticket information, to-do list, meeting list, etc. The cover can be purchased now for $ 129 in two versions, black and white.

However, this idea is not new. Startup InkCase, coming out with a campaign on KickStarter in August 2014, offered a similar version of the cover - and collected twice the requested $ 100 thousand. At the moment, on their website you can already buy a case for the iPhone 5 for $ 80 and for the Samsung Galaxy Note II for $ 70.

Let's not forget about the domestic manufacturer, which offers the original phone, initially having two screens - Yotaphone , the first version of which was released back in December 2013. The cost of the second version of the phone is now 40 thousand rubles.
