"Rain" becomes a fully paid TV channel
After the New Year, many viewers did not find “Rain” on the familiar button. The channel reports that from January 1 this year, cable television operators are being transferred to the a la carte operation scheme. This means that the user does not have to pay for the channel in the package, overpaying for what he is not looking. He is forced to purchase a subscription to "Rain" separately.
The amount of payment is 240 rubles per month. Revenues are shared with carriers in half. In cooperation with OTT services, 70% goes to the channel, 30% goes to the partner.
Prior to that, “Rain” has introduced a paid subscription for watching broadcasts on the Internet. But with some operators it will be possible to get full access to all versions of the channel without overpaying twice.

This is possible thanks to the new for Russia TV Everywhere service, when the user pays only once, but can access both via the Internet, Smart TV, mobile applications, and on TV. If the operator concludes an agreement, then Dozhd pays for each subscriber 120 rubles per month or 50 for the preferential subscriber.
The changes are caused by amendments to the Law on Advertising, which prohibit the sale of advertising on non-terrestrial TV channels. The law came into force on January 1 of this year. The decision that could destroy the channel actually turned out to be the impetus for its further development.
A full list of operators who are ready to go for the new conditions of cooperation will be ready the day after tomorrow, January 16. It will be available on https://tvrain.ru/connecting/ . If the operator does not enter into a cooperation agreement, then the channel can still be watched using the set-top box or via Smart TV systems from Samsung, LG and Philips.
