Why and why?

The diversification (separation) of the McLaren automotive group, in fact, began already distant 25 years ago, with the decision to design and produce high-performance electronic control systems that are now supplied to every stable and every car in Formula 1, Nascar and IndyCar. Not to mention the use in non-automotive systems.

After, with the release of the icon of McLaren F1 supercars, in 1993, McLaren Automotive appeared, which today became one of the leaders in designing, building, manufacturing and servicing some of the fastest and most technologically advanced road cars - more than 1600 per year, if we sum up the cars produced. And from this year, McLaren plans to release from 4000 supercars.

To achieve these ambitious goals, the McLaren Technology Group plans to build a new “applied technology center”, where not only assembly shops and wind tunnels that are standard for automakers, but also working classes and research centers with a total area of ​​57 km ^{2 will be built} .
