In Disney, created a robot who knows how to draw pictures on the sand
According to TechCrunch , Disney Research engineering laboratory together with the Swiss engineering school ETH Zürich created the Beach Bot, a cute robot designed to draw drawings in the sand. The robot moves on soft wheels, which do not damage the already made picture, and behind it is equipped with a set of pins resembling a rake. Each of the pins individually can be raised or lowered, which affects the width of the resulting line. The robot is guided by the posts that need to be stuck in the sand, indicating the place of drawing. After launch, it can autonomously draw a given vector pattern, or move on commands from the operator’s console.
At the beginning of training, most programmers encountered the so-called “tortoise graphics”, where the cursor, moving across the screen, can leave a trail behind them, thus forming a drawing. The robot is also designed as a stylized tortoise, and although its work has no practical value, it can deliver aesthetic enjoyment with its “creativity”. It would be nice from the window of the hotel to look at the morning beach, decorated with drawings. ')
