From February 1, Microsoft raises prices for software and hardware in Russia by 15-30%

Rising software prices range from 15% for private clients and up to 30% for corporate, depending on the licensing plan.

Russia is one of the few countries in which Microsoft makes payments not in dollars, but in local currency. According to Vladimir Levakov, the genius director of one of the large distribution networks, this fact allowed many partner companies to avoid bankruptcy.

If a distributor buys a product in dollars from a vendor and sells in rubles, explains Mr. Levakov, then in case of fluctuations in the financial market, he may be on the verge of ruin - this has already happened on the domestic software market in 2008-2009. Now Microsoft, selling its products to a distributor at a fixed ruble price, takes on these risks.
