Italian research studio MHOX introduced the concept of synthetic eyeballs called EYE (Enhance Your Eye), which allows to get rid of defects or improve your vision.

The only obstacle is to put your eyes under the scalpel of scientists. After all, in order to “bleed” the vision, it is necessary to surgically remove the eyeballs and print an organic “deck” on the already existing biological platform, which will act as an intermediary between the human brain and digital vision. After which the eyes you put in place. However, this time you will receive synthetic eyeballs EYE printed on a 3D bioprinter.

Three models to choose from:The first —EYEHeal — without add-ons, but with perfect vision. This is a basic model designed for patients suffering from various forms of degeneration, diseases or external injuries.
The second complete set - EYE Enhance - already with an upgrade: there is a "hyper mesh". A kind of retina-version, which allows to bring sharpness higher than the standard for a person "edinichka." In addition, a special gland will be built into this model that can color your world in bright or pastel colors. To do this, you just need to "throw" a special tablet with enzymes that impose different-colored filters on the picture: sepia, b / w, infrared, etc.
The latest model - EYE Advance - is all included, even Wi-Fi. A special module for broadcasting and recording images to devices via Wi-Fi will be built into the eyes. Although here is not a catch. As in the case of the previous version, the gland can only be activated using the appropriate tablet, which, apparently, will charge the device.

All EYE models will be bioprinted on a printer that uses a special needle to lay out the different types of cells needed to create different types of EYE fabric. The cells will be contained in a special substance called bio-ink, and the printer will be able to alternate different types of ink. When the cells are placed, they will automatically stick together to create the final and ready-to-install EYE model.
