LaCie introduced the first USB hard drive with USB Type-C connector

After the Apple MacBook was introduced with a USB Type-C connector, gadget manufacturers began to focus on this connector. For example, LaCie announced an update on the Porsche Design Mobile Drive hard drive lineup. Hard drives of this series will now be released with a new USB Type-C connector, but they also have USB 3.0 interface, which is much slower than its successor, USB 3.1.
