As a result, several interesting works were received, more precisely, six, and this, frankly, is six times more than we initially expected. ')
The brightest show here:
Interactive robot with expressive eyes;
Radio for supermarkets;
Prototype remote probe;
Smart greenhouse for a balcony or loggia.
Android Robot Prototype
According to the developer, the project’s tasks were as follows:
Create a humanoid robot;
Teach the robot to talk;
Make a computer vision system.
While the project is at an early stage of development. Nevertheless, the developers have already managed to set up a speech recognition system at the elementary level, to assemble the disparate elements into a single whole, to connect two cameras, enclosing them in the "eyes".
It all works on the basis of the Raspberry Pi, and the current task of the developers is to create a computer system of "view". As mentioned above, the camera is enclosed in "eyeballs", and all this can rotate in different directions.
If anyone wants to contact the developers, then this can be done here, in the “VK” group .
Now the guys are working on the following tasks:
1) The mechanics of the motor rotation of the eyes and the opening and closing of them, as well as their subsequent binding to the goal (monitoring the presence of a person); 2) Mechanics of motor rotation of the head (primary, its rotation along the axis and tilts to the side); 3) Mechanics of hand motor skills (gestures of one, and later both hands, followed by solving the problem of binding specific gestures to specific reactions and phrases.
Online radio for malls and supermarkets RMPI (RMC + PI)
The main task is to create a distributed network of radio points for shopping centers and supermarkets, with the possibility of local broadcasting, for each of the stores of the network.
The system is managed from the central administration panel: the necessary store is selected, music records are sent to the outlet, and, if necessary, commercials. There is a possibility of setting the frequency and time of broadcasting, while playing the advertisement, the music calms down.
The project itself has existed for 4 years, created to reduce the cost of the workstation. In 2014, the project was modified, the Raspberry Pi mini-PC was chosen as the main control element.
Prototype of the remote probe (all-terrain vehicle, UAV, amphibian) based on the Raspebrry Pi B v2 with the Raspbian
According to the developers, the project was created in order to produce a universal prototype of a remote probe, such as an all-terrain vehicle with an all-terrain vehicle, an amphibious vehicle or an aircraft.
System features:
The speed is about 5-7 km / h.
Good cross.
About 13 hours in standby mode (without overclocking the processor).
About 5 hours in constant motion mode (without overclocking the processor).
Independent suspension (chassis taken from the Chinese toy SUV).
There is an opportunity to completely seal the body of the machine.
Work took about 3 months
.
System configuration:
RPi (all default kernel configurations)
USB WEB-camera with HD resolution
Wi-Fi / 3G
Rotary motors for movement (rear-wheel drive)
Power supply 12V 12a / h in the form of AGM battery
Converter DC-DC 12-> 5V PWM
Smart greenhouse on the balcony - the prototype
The system works on the basis of Arduino UNO. Equipped with temperature sensor, humidity sensor, water pump, etc. The author has implemented automatic watering of plants. The humidity sensor determines the humidity and compares with the values that were set in advance and, depending on the values, the water pump is activated and watering is performed for a specified time.
In addition, there is a climate control system. If the sensor indicates that the temperature is too high, the servo actuates and the vent opens. If the temperature does not fall, the active hood starts working. If the temperature is lower than it should be, heating is turned on.
According to the author, the system can be scaled, used for greenhouses of any size.
Raspberry based game console
The author of the project has created a video set-up based on the Raspberry Pi. The prefix allows you not only to play 8-16 bit games, as well as doom, duke nukem, quake, minecraft, but also to broadcast any video from the Web to TV, view home media archives. In addition, you can connect a keyboard and mouse. RASBMS and RETROPIE were installed on the device.
Actually, the author just slightly modified the native case of the console, inserted a mini-PC into it and connected the necessary cables, slightly soldering everything that was needed for the ports.
Prizes: Perhaps this is a bit silly, but again we offered as main prizes fees: Raspberry and Verve, as well as pro-coupons for a discount of 35% on them for everyone.
