As a true technology leader, OCZ does not sit at altitudes already reached and is constantly moving forward. In the highly specialized segment of High-Performance Computing, a situation often arises in which it is necessary to simultaneously keep in memory a huge amount of data, and there is not enough physical memory. What did OCZ and the innovative software development company Levyx come up with? We read under the cut.



Access to terabytes of real-time data is required by Big Data servers when processing and analyzing stored information, Web 2.0 servers, cloud services and financial analysts. The cost of RAM is very high: if you consider that an SSD of a corporate-class PCIe with a volume of 800 gigabytes costs just over 150 thousand rubles , then the same amount of DDR3 server memory (50 bars of 16 gigabytes each ) will cost 50 * 6500 = 325,000 rubles, there are more than twice as expensive. And the more data volumes, the more RAM is required.

Levyx offered a scenario in which huge amounts of data (many terabytes) consisting of billions of files would be processed on solid-state disks. Unfortunately, I do not have complete information about this software, it is still closed.
