The NASA website publishes daily high-quality photographs of the Moon , taking into account its current phase and libration. But now for the first time, NASA, using photos of the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter and computer simulations, generated a beautiful video of what the reverse side of the moon looks like when it moves around the Earth.
In such illustrations, it is customary to reduce the apparent distance between celestial bodies. In reality, these are the real proportions for February 9, 2015 (the distance to the Moon is 401,543 km, that is, 31.51 Earth diameters).
