Meeting startups in St. Petersburg, 08/24/2008

Hello again. Having read the post of our Moscow colleagues, it seemed to me that we should somewhat more carefully approach the organization of the meeting. Therefore, this is what I propose:

Location

Cafe-restaurant "Beans" on Gorokhovaya (alternative offers are accepted) - not far from the metro station Canal Griboedova or Sennaya. This is a nice place, the atmosphere is calm, there is WiFi. You can come and order just a beer, you can dine a second course. The second dish and beer will probably cost you no more than 500 rubles. Since everyone pays for itself, please immediately remember the cost of your order and add to the amount of 10-15% for tea. After calculation, we will collect money in an organized way and check with the total amount.

Time spending

Beginning on August 24 at 19:00 , therefore I suggest to approach 10-15 minutes.

How to sign up

Everyone who wants to take part writes a comment in this post . In the comments you need to indicate what you would like to tell us at the meeting, whether you have a startup (some don't and still want to participate) what you do at all (design, programming, layout, etc.)

Some possible limitations

If there are more than 10 people willing, then we will somehow have to weed out people (as correctly noted in the Moscow post - there are more than 10 people and there will already be a farce). Therefore, preference will be given primarily to startups.

If you do not like someone's comment and you think that the person at the meeting will be superfluous - write the appropriate answer to his comment. This will be taken into account.

What to talk about at the meeting?

I slightly changed my attitude to sharing the idea of ​​a startup. I think I am ready to do this and I would like to push others to it. Please write in the comments if you are going to tell us about your project, because it will not be very pleasant for me to be the only one and I will hardly be doing it then.
