Universal assistant geek composer
An interesting concept of a gadget called Compose, with which anyone can quickly record any melody that came to mind, was presented by designers Ouyang Xi, He Binbin, Zeng Li & Li Bo.
The device is a tablet with a microphone pen. This thing works in two modes. You can just sing the melody (the pen inserted into the dock works as a microphone). In this case, the vocal attempts of the “composers” are automatically transcribed into the notes that are displayed on the display. And, if the user with knowledge of musical notation is all right, then you can not and do not hum, but immediately write the necessary notes on the tablet with a pen. It is assumed that Compose can be equipped with speakers. So a freshly song can be heard immediately.
I really don’t know how the device will be perceived by professionals (it’s not designed for them), but I’m sure that children will have more than amusing fun with Compose. Unless, of course, the concept ever becomes a commercial product.
