Research company “TMT Consulting”, after analyzing the tariff plans of most Russian providers providing Internet connection services via cable, concluded that the fixed Internet was gradually increasing in the Regions of the Russian Federation. Archived tariffs, which gave users the opportunity to save, are closed, subscribers are transferred to new, more expensive tariffs, Vedomosti reports. Previously, the cost of the minimum tariff plan was approximately 300 rubles. per month. Now the price has risen to 400 rubles.
True, the noticeable increase in the average monthly bill (ARPU) has not yet reached. In July-September, the growth of the account compared to the previous quarter amounted to only 1 rub. A year ago, this figure was 338 rubles, that is, there is growth, but so far it is minimal. The situation could have been even more noticeable if VimpelCom had not offered the “All in One” tariff, when the wired Internet service is also available to the mobile operator’s mobile operators.
By the way, the growth in the number of providers' customers has stopped; there is a growth, but it is minimal. For example, in the third quarter of this year in Russia there are 32.2 million subscribers of the “fixed” Internet. This is 0.8% more than last quarter and 3% more than a year earlier.

The head of Telecom Daily, Denis Kuskov, believes that operators are not able to increase revenues through additional services. Due to the cessation of growth in the number of customers of Internet providers, revenues do not grow either. Therefore, the opportunity for further development is only an increase in tariffs.
According to the representative of Rostelecom, Valery Kostarev, this telecoms operator is the only one in Russia who does not refuse available tariffs for almost all categories of users. At the same time, the company continues to increase the capacity of subscriber channels, offering ever higher speeds to users of the “optics”.
