AlphaGo won the second of three matches with world champion Go Ke Jie

More recently, Geektimes published information that AlphaGo, a computer system developed by DeepMind, defeated world champion Go Qie in the first of three matches during the go festival. The overweight of the computer on points was quite small, but some experts considered that the developers of Deep Mind simply did not want the system to defeat the master to add entertainment to this match.

Some professional high dan players, who followed the match, said afterwards that a person could hardly win a computer. Perhaps the confirmation of these words can be called the results of the second match, in which the computer, which previously beat Lee Sedol, won again.

Commentators point out that in the new match Ke played almost perfectly during the first 50 moves. He used a rather complicated strategy, developing various scenarios on the board. But AlphaGo "spotted" the threat and was able to cope with the attack on all fronts. Subsequently, the system forced the champion to surrender. “We saw the first 100 moves, perhaps, the best game of all that we ever had with the AlphaGo Master version,” said DeepMind head Demis Hassabis.

Ke himself said after the mast that the new game was different from the previous one. The fact is that AlphaGo made moves that went beyond a winning strategy that Ke could use on the spot. “I thought I was close to winning in the middle of the game, but AlphaGo thought differently. I'm a little sad and I'm sorry, because I thought I played very well, ”the champion said.

Let me remind you that Jie announced his refusal to play with a computer after completing a series of matches with AlphaGo.
