
Today, the first university tour of Opera Software has started, which will be the beginning of a large program of visits by Norwegian university experts around the world. Today, the first meeting will be held in one of the universities of the Republic of South Africa, in total, up to April 2009, 14 university tours of such countries as Russia (tentatively November 2008), Indonesia, Germany, USA, India, Brazil, Japan will be carried out , Poland, United Kingdom, Vietnam, France, China and Ukraine. Each country will have ten seminars on the past, present and future of the Internet, browser development industry, open web standards, web application development, the role of mobile surfing in the world and other related topics. Students will be able not only to learn first-hand information about the latest technologies and market trends, but also to have the opportunity to informally communicate with representatives of Opera Software. These university tours are part of the global Opera Education Program, which has produced a mass of publicly available educational materials for all universities in the world interested in expanding the curriculum of their students. Also, as part of the Opera Education Program, all universities can use all versions of Opera browsers, including Opera Mobile (for free), for their use.
