"ViAr-ki" for gifts: we look at virtual reality glasses within a thousand and a little

The abundance of virtual reality headsets for smartphones is impressive. The vast majority of them are made in China: this means that one should not expect radical differences in the quality of the “picture”.

And yet, they are glasses, different.

Green light mobile virtual reality headsets gave Google, launching the project Cardboard. Today clones, replicas, analogs of cardboard glasses are sold absolutely for ridiculous money.

Apparently, realizing that everyone did not make money on cardboard, so-called “plastic cardboards” began to grow: headsets for smartphones were slightly more durable, slightly more pleasant design, which on the one hand did not crawl to the “tops” like HTC, and on the other drowned cardboard points completely.

VR Box

It seems that a couple of years ago, the expansion of plastic glasses began with this sample, which neatly but steadily climbed from everywhere.

Inside the carton are glasses.

First of all, they are distinguished by a secure attachment of the smartphone inside: the white part is not a cover. It is securely glued to the body, but in order to put the smartphone inside, you must push one of the structural elements.

The gadget fits on a stand that can be adjusted in width using a spring mechanism.

It is possible to adjust the focal length and the distance between the lenses. For convenience, both mechanisms are located on one socket. Large, ribbed surface - forward / backward. Small black levers on the center of it - left / right.

On the edge of the glasses from the side of the viewer - soft artificial material, inside which foam rubber. The material has an additional perforation.

Belts, with which the structure is mounted on the head, are adjustable. However, that may not seem very convenient, at the place of contact with the back of the head - plastic. It is rather soft, and the inconvenience is rather that it can slide through the hair. In other words, with a calm use scenario - there will be no discomfort.

Colorcross

Compact model with expansion mechanism.

The headset does not have a fixed back cover, which allows it to be resized. This is done manually.

The headset unfolds both in length and in width.

For attaching a smartphone, there are bent parts of the structure on the upper “doors” of glasses, as well as additional gaskets on the body. They also serve to protect the display, insuring against scratches.

The distance between the lenses is adjustable.

Equipped with a magnet:

Included is a napkin.

The key difference of this model is compatibility with smartphones with a small diagonal. The open back is positioned as an additional opportunity to use AR-applications.

Homido

The range of Homido headsets is impressive. However, I would pay attention to the mobile model “Mini”. At home I use this option: conveniently if you want or need to get quick access to virtual reality. Video on YouTube, for example.

The Mini model is glasses without case. They fold, fit easily in your pocket if you need to take with you, and are ready to work quickly, without additional settings.

The smartphone is attached with a "clothespin".

And then - watch the video. Actually, this model is no longer suitable for anything, you will not play games with the controller anymore, since it is necessary to hold the existing structure with one hand. But it can be used for educational purposes, even in the classroom.

Bobo vr

A good thought out headset.

The model is of a closed type, there are holes on the lid - for sound to exit.

Pretty compact.

On the edge of the glasses upholstery made of artificial materials.

For internal ventilation, holes are provided in the enclosure.

The distance between the lenses is regulated by special levers, which are located above the eyes.

Fitted on the head provides an adjustable strap with velcro, and in the place of contact with the back of the head there is a soft pad.

The tightness of the smartphone inside the design provides a foam circle that does not scratch the surface of the device.

Additional soft inserts are also provided in order not to damage the display. Included is a napkin.

Xiaomi

The first version of VR-glasses, in contrast to the second, was not “sharpened” for a specific model of the Xiaomi smartphone. It turned out quite stylish due to the fact that the sheathed fabric.

The smartphone is installed inside and closes the outside with a cover, for which a zipper is provided.

There are holes on both sides of the back for sound.

Inside, a tight fit provides additional rubber inserts that will not scratch the smartphone.

Perhaps a significant disadvantage of these glasses is that the focal length and the distance between the lenses are not adjustable.

Shinecon

A good Chinese headset with the ability to adjust the focal and lens distance. Along the edges of a soft strip of artificial materials:

The distance between the lenses is regulated by a wheel on the top of the structure:

And the focus adjustment is on the side:

Points of the closed type. A special stand is integrated into the cover, which fixes the smartphone.

The cover is attracted to the body of the headset with magnets. Adjustable straps and a “cushion” at the point of contact with the nape ensure tight fixation on the head.

Build quality budget, in some places perfectionist surprise unnecessary gaps.

But in general - the headset is working out its money. Thought out holes for the output of the headphones and ventilation inside to avoid fogging. Included napkin.

Baofeng

This is the "expensive" model worth 2090 rubles . However, a few words to say about it is worth it. This headset is stylish.

Despite the fact that the model is open, the smartphone is securely fixed by means of a “tongue” that presses the smartphone with a rubberized gasket: on the one hand, it is safe in terms of possible scratches, on the other, the smartphone will not crawl and will not fall out.

The distance between the lenses is adjustable.

Moreover: the levers that are responsible for this are located on the lower part of the body, under the thumbs, which seems much more convenient and logical.

Along the edges of the glasses trimmed with foam. Also in the case ventilation openings are provided.
