Mpow Thor: Everyday Wired Wireless Headphones

Mpow Thor - seems to be a regular headset, made on a solid four. However, one of its features seemed to me quite practical, and therefore I decided to tell a few words about headphones.

According to its structure, these are closed headphones, which, according to tests, reproduce frequencies from 17-17000 Hz. The main part of the construction is made of plastic.

Overlay ear cushions, apparently polyurethane.

And the sound emitter is covered with fabric lining.

The speaker has the shape of a circle and does not try to repeat the oval of the ear, but the pillow is soft enough so that it does not create discomfort.

There is also a relaxed part in the place of direct contact of the headset with the head: it is made of rubber, under which is a strip of foam rubber.

So, as not all parts of the wire are retracted inside the structure, for reliability, the fabric wire is. This is also done so that it does not grind during the bending of the structure.

Since the MPow design is foldable:

At the bend, one can observe how part of the wire passes close to the steel plate, which is responsible for the “flexibility” of MPow.

The main speaker is left. It has all the controls, inputs, outputs, microphone. To synchronize the device, you need to press the power button and, after the indicator flashes, find the device in the Bluetooth list.

By the sound of no surprises. The manufacturer, of course, indicates a range of 20 - 20000, but I heard them in different ways. On the desktop sound generator, I stopped to distinguish the upper range somewhere by 13,000, and the lower one began to hear somewhere at 16-17. In online tests, high frequencies were heard at 18-17,000.

Modes of operation

Thor headset works in two modes , and it seemed quite practical. In wireless mode, the Mpow battery lasts for 7-8 hours of continuous sound. However, if he sits down at the wrong time, you can always use Jack.

It turns out that they are both wired and wireless at the same time due to the additional AUX connector. Another thing is that the complete Jack is quite thin, but it can be replaced at its discretion.

Also included is a modest black headset case and microUSB.

Headset size is adjustable: there is a small margin,

but overall it does not seem small:

As a result:

MPow Thor - A good city headset for every day with high autonomy and additional "insurance" in the form of Jack. Passive noise reduction makes listening comfortable in different conditions, even outside.

The rubberized part of the headband (except that it does not press) also performs the function of “clutch”, so the headset does not crawl, does not fall down when walking and - as a result - does not create additional inconveniences.

As I have already said, I was impressed in the first place by the ability to use them both as wired and wireless headphones.
