Printed URLs

It so happened that lately I have been reading a lot of computer literature. Mostly books in print. And, of course, in the new computer literature, references to sources on the Internet or thematic (printed) links to sites are met everywhere.

There was a thought. How to avoid typing a URL from a book?

Well, then, so to speak, my assumptions and fantasies :)
')
Need 3 things:
1) the bar code next to the link in the book
2) reader
3) to make it standard

So, the 1st:

When the URL is printed in the book, after it is put a box that carries information about this URL itself.

I'm not good at barcodes, but the idea is to hide this URL in a character to read.
And it's not a fact that the code should be in the form of a square, it can be easier to make it a strip ...

2nd:

The reader can be placed in the mouse or make a separate pen reader with USB.

3rd:

Well, turning thoughts into reality is much more complicated. A common standard should be developed. Introduced new technology in printing + release of reading devices.

Ps. Once it was predicted that with the growth of computerization the amount of paper information will decrease, but something is not very similar :)

PS2. It's just my thoughts dry.
