Doogee T5 runs on Android 6.0 with firmware. By default, the smartphone has a very impressive design: the design is stylized to the look of the device itself, so all the icons are redrawn in a metallic style. For example, the telephone application received an icon in the form of a disk device. At the same time, the applications themselves remained standard, only the appearance of the icons was changed.
The firmware is interestingly implemented quick access to various functions: the interface has a built-in round button with a drop-down menu placed on top of all applications. With its help, you can switch to the game mode (it locks the “Menu” and “Back” buttons to prevent them from being accidentally pressed during the gaming process) and into the reading mode (the display always remains on in it).
There is a player button that displays a window with a music player on top of the desktop or running application. There, in the menu, you can “kill” all background processes with one touch, if it seems that something is slowing down the system.
Gesture recognition is also implemented amusingly: you call a special window through the round button and draw a pre-programmed gesture in it. For example, C is a camera. The system recognizes gestures well, there are no failures.
Inside the protected case, the Doogee T5 employs a mid-budget processor in 2015 — an eight-core MediaTek MT6753, running at clock speeds up to 1.5 GHz. There are 3 GB of RAM and an internal storage of 32 GB. Memory can be expanded with a microSD card.
In terms of the work of 4G-Internet and Bluetooth there are no complaints: everything is clear and rather fast. Navigation on the smartphone is not the most agile, but stable.
The system works quite fast - there are no noticeable pauses when calling the menu and launching applications. The browser seamlessly pulls up to four or five tabs.
