The Vedomosti newspaper
reports a problem that for several months (at a minimum) has been causing inconvenience to MTS and VimpelCom subscribers, including employees of the Vedomosti newspaper. One of them was automatically subscribed to the channel “Video World 18+” (“Vimpelcom”), and the other - to the resources Moyamedia.ru and Filoteka.ru (MTS). The subscribers did not give any consent to the subscription.
MTS and VimpelCom, in this case, immediately deduct from the account from 20 to 100 rubles. An SMS message is received on the phone. If you do not unsubscribe, then a similar amount will be withdrawn on the account on a permanent basis.
As it turned out, many other subscribers of cellular operators complain about the same problems, numerous messages can be found on the pages of operators on social networks. In many cases, the subscription was automatically made when users opened sites of various subjects in the browser.
In social networks, representatives of MTS, VimpelCom and Tele2 operators respond to such complaints almost equally. They say that the confirmation of a subscription occurs unnoticed by the subscriber when clicking on an advertising banner or visiting a questionable site.

The expert on the mobile fraud problem, co-owner of the Teleus.ru project, Yuri Synodov, explained that the subscription is possible by placing a button invisible to the subscriber with the consent of the subscription. He says that operators are struggling with this problem, but they consider a certain percentage of fraud to be valid.

The representative of MTS said that they carefully identify sites with invisible buttons - and return the money to affected users to the account.
Unfortunately, to completely abandon paid subscriptions, you need to go through a special procedure (the easiest way to call support service). For some reason, when making a contract, operators initially activate this service to all subscribers by default, including children and retirees. In the future, only a small percentage of users refuse it. Probably, operators also receive their share from this cash flow, without formally violating the law and punishing “violators” for visibility.
