Nowadays, even pets can have their accounts in social networks. Owners diligently fill the pages with content, upload photos, change statuses and leave comments under the posts. In general, they spend some time and effort on the development of the virtual life of their pets. The new joint development of the company Pedigree and the advertising agency Saatchi & Saatchi will provide the opportunity to fill the pages directly to the pets themselves. Company divisions created and presented an original device called Posting Tail (literal translation - “fasting” tail), allowing dogs to upload photos of everything they like to social networks.
The device consists of a camera, an accelerometer and the popular single-board computer Raspberry Pi. All this design is mounted on the back of the dog, dressed in a special vest. With the help of an accelerometer tied to the tail, the information is transmitted to a computer, where the program determines which objects have caused joy in the animal. And if the dog starts to swing his tail intensely, the camera takes a picture. ')
As shown in the video, a sensor mounted on the dog's tail, as well as a modular design processor, are triggered in the vest. He then recognizes the moments of maximum emotional lift of the animal from the movements of the tail. After photographing the camera on Wi-Fi, the snapshot is instantly published on the Facebook page.
Using the device, the dog will automatically post photos of people she likes, other animals, interesting and pleasant places, objects. And the owner finds out what his four-legged friend really loves.
The developers do not report whether the device will be available for sale. However, on the Spanish website of the company was a competition for the best photo of a pet. The winner will receive the opportunity to test Posting Tail for free on his pet. But if it’s necessary for the pet itself - a big question ... It’s not a fact that dogs will have to wear a similar design with an accelerometer tied to the tail.
